Sound requirements for Editing:
The sound is a very important part of your video production, so don't for one second think of scrimping on the quality, you will need the very best sound you can afford. So the best way to get the best sound is to have an experienced sound operator and they come with all the right gear (ring me for a few names).
Okay so you want to do it your self: Hire the right equipment, a quality Shotgun microphone and someone to point it, the best Radio Lapel or cable neck mic you can afford and method of monitoring the sound as it is being recorded..
On location STOP and listen to the background sound, ensure it is not being heard via your microphone, we won't be able to get rid of the background sound - we may be able to minimize it but we will not be able to eliminate it.
Any digital sound should be supplied as Original as possible don't compress it, nor reduce the quality by reducing the sampling - Supply 44k, 16 bit Stereo or Mono some broadcast jobs will be 48k. That is fine bring the files as they are don't modify them.
Any music you intend to use just bring the Original MUSIC CD we can transfer that subject to copyright requirements.
REMEMBER IF THE ORIGINAL SOUND IS CRAPPY THEN IT IS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER - We can't perform miracles, but we do try hard.
